Begin by working under the dash to remove the steering joint cover by popping off the upper and lower clamps and sliding off the cover, ensuring the two nibs on the flange at the lower end are pushed into the holes in the floor upon reinstallation. Mark the relationship of the intermediate shaft universal joint to the Rack And Pinion input shaft before removing the pinch bolt. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands while applying the parking brake. For Legend models, remove the Rack And Pinion shield by taking out the four retaining bolts. Place a drain pan under the Rack And Pinion for power steering only, disconnect the power steering fluid lines, and cap them to prevent contamination and loss of fluid. Separate the tie-rod ends from the steering knuckle arms. On Integra models, disconnect the shift linkage from the transaxle.
