Acura MDX Exhaust Manifold Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install an exhaust manifold on the Acura MDX?
A: Only 2001-2002 Acura and 2003-2004 Honda models have exhaust manifolds. To remove, disconnect the battery, apply penetrating oil on fasteners, block rear wheels, raise the front, and remove the splash guard. Disconnect exhaust pipes, remove bolts, heat shields, and manifold. Discard old nuts and inspect the manifold for damage. If damaged, replace. To install, clean old gasket material, position a new gasket, install the manifold, and tighten nuts. Reinstall parts in reverse order, apply oil to studs, install new nuts, reconnect battery, and check for leaks.
