    How should the inner CV joint and boot be reassembled for the 1988 Acura Legend? Posted by Customer

    Wrap the splines of the axleshaft with tape to protect the new boot, slide the boot on, align match marks, tap the tri-pot assembly back onto the axleshaft, apply CV joint grease to hold needle bearings, pack the outer race with grease, seat the boot in its grooves, adjust driveaxle length, equalize boot pressure using a blunt screwdriver, install and tighten new boot clamps, and finally, install the driveaxle assembly.
