    Relieve the system fuel pressure, then detach the cable from the negative battery terminal, ensuring you have the correct activation code for the stereo if it has an anti-theft system. Next, detach the vacuum hose and fuel hose from the pressure regulator, and unscrew the mounting bolts specific to the Civic and CR-V type. Remove the pressure regulator, and during installation, reverse the removal process while using a new O-ring that should be lubricated with a light coat of clean engine oil. Finally, check for fuel leaks after the installation of the pressure regulator.
