Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, remove the air intake duct (2003 and earlier models), detach the cable bracket from the throttle body, disconnect the electrical connector from the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, disconnect the electrical connector from the Throttle Position (TP) sensor, clamp-off the coolant hoses to the bottom of the throttle body, then loosen and slideback the hose clamps and disconnect the hoses, disconnect the Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) purge valve hose from the throttle body, disconnect the electrical connector from the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve, remove the two bolts and two nuts that attach the throttle body to the intake manifold and remove the throttle body, the spacer and the two gaskets, remove all traces of old gasket material from the throttle body, the spacer and the intake manifold, disconnect the electrical connector from the MAP sensor (2004 and later models), disconnect the throttle body electrical connector, clamp-off and disconnect the two coolant bypass hoses from the throttle body, remove the two bolts and two nuts securing the throttle body to the air intake plenum, remove the throttle body and remove the throttle body gasket. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to use new gaskets and tighten the throttle body mounting bolts and nuts, check the coolant level and add some, as necessary, to bring it to the appropriate level, check the accelerator cable adjustment and adjust it if necessary, reconnect the cable to the negative battery terminal, then start the engine and check for air and coolant leaks.
