The PCV valve is located in the crankcase breather chamber. While the engine is idling at its normal operating temperature, close up gently with pliers a rag-covered top of the engine PCV hose at the very top of the engine crank case. Close as softly as possible to prevent damage to hose. If it's working properly, you will hear a click when you pinch the hose while it is closed. In case it does not, change the valve.
